The performance review “under review”

Recently Atlassian’s global head of talent, Bek Chee, told Business Insider Australia, about its adoption of a values-based approach for performance reviews. This new approach focusses on staff living the company values.
Chee says “We want to be able to evaluate a whole person and encourage them to bring their full self to work and not just focus on skills itself, but really focus on the way they do their work.”
Decide firstly if you want to keep performance review. If so, then ensure it includes a values-basis to it. Otherwise your organisation’s achievements in staff recognition and engagement are unlikely to be above average.
